Superlight all-rounder: the Ksyrium Pro from Mavic

When paired with the new Yksion Pro UST tubeless tires, you get a perfect union between the wheel and tire, ensuring easy, hassle-free installation and removal thanks to our proven UST technology. And no tubes means no friction with the tire, so you roll faster using less energy. You can also lower your tire pressure for a smoother, more compliant ride, even on rough roads, with a reduced risk of punctures.

Beyond the benefits of tubeless, all the other favorite features of this wheel stay the same. A wider rim shape (17mm internally) allows for an 18% increase in air volume for your tires. That extra volume gives you a more controlled and comfortable ride without compromising efficiency.

The Zicral alloy spokes are stiffer, stronger and lighter than traditional stainless steel spokes.

The Isopulse lacing pattern (radial lacing on the drive side) allows a more balanced spoke tension for a stiffer, more stable wheel. Fore drilling creates the strongest possible connection between rim and spokes, increasing stiffness by about 20%. Each part of the rim is precisely machined using just the right amount of material to provide stiffness and strength, while maintaining weight at only 400g. Total wheel weight is about 1420g.

Technologies

UST Tubeless Ready
Traction, control and lightweight. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats.The “tubeless ready” construction results in a lighter tyre for improved performance.

Maxtal
Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminum alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.

Fore
Stiffer and stronger. Instead of being drilled, the lower rim bridge is pushed up on the inside, then threaded to enable the spoke nipples to be directly screwed in it, leaving the upper rim bridge intact.

Instant Drive 360
The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and fast to engage with only 9°. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.

Zicral
Light, stiff and strong. A specific aluminum alloy that provides spokes with higher stiffness-to-weight ratio while being stronger.

SUP (Soudé Usiné Process)
Stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.

ISM 4D (Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions)
An exclusive Mavic patented concept, ISM 4D significantly reduces weight and inertia without compromising durability. Quicker accelerations, better handling and more resistance ; the right mix to make the most of any ride. The smooth profile also helps reducing aerodynamic drag.

Isopulse
Optimum energy transfer. The spokes are laced radially on the drive side and crossed 2 on the non drive side to maximise drive side dish, thus providing a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.
