The new E-Speedcity means nothing less than the comeback of Mavic in the segment of urban or commuter bikes – as a reminder: very early in the company’s history, mudguards were part of our portfolio. With now 130 years of experience at the highest level of cycling, we are convinced that we can realize the right wheels for the daily way to work.

These wheels are extra robust and durable. 32 solid, curved spokes each plus hubs with extra high flanges guarantee a maximum load capacity of up to 180 kg (25 % more than our road bike wheels) – absolutely appropriate, given the increased weight load and stress in daily commuter use. The freewheel mechanism with automatic bearing preload has already proven itself in E-MTB wheels. It can handle even the strongest e-motors (up to 120 Nm torque). Smooth, durable hub bearings save muscle and motor power. Our immense know-how in wheel construction is the guarantee for maximum stability over thousands of kilometers – without time-consuming workshop visits. Because we are also committed to protecting the environment and reducing CO2 emissions, we use 90% recycled aluminum for the rims. In addition, these wheels are built by hand in Europe, with components that are also 100% European.
This 700c/28″ version and its rim with 25 mm jaw width accepts tires up to 64 mm wide. Last but not least, we also think about your safety. These wheels appear discreet so as not to arouse unwanted covetousness. But their black decor is retroreflective and thus highly visible in the dark in road traffic.
The wheels can also be protected through our Mavic Care program – with a free warranty extension to 3 years, a crash replacement program and the guaranteed supply of spare parts for at least 5 years.
